A pivot plate eases the reparation of a barrier and reduces damage in case of a collision. The access door to the inside of the barrier cabinet is at the back of the column. When there's no space at the backside, the barrier can be placed on a rotating foot which can be turned 90°. A safety pin in the rotating foot keeps it in it's place. When someone drives into the barrier arm, the pin breaks and the barrier cabinet rotates 90°.
