Radar sensors (e.g. BEA EvoLoop, FEIG MWD SBP) require no groundworks. They detect both vehicles and people, function in rain, snow, and fog, and can be configured via a mobile app. Virtual loops and direction recognition provide flexible setup.

Laser sensors (e.g. LZR-H100/I100) detect all vehicle types, including bicycles and electric cars, and protect users in the detection field. They filter out pedestrians and cross traffic, support both horizontal and vertical installation, and are vandal-resistant (IP65).

An inductive loop is installed in the ground. When a metal vehicle passes over, it changes the magnetic field, which the detector converts into a signal to open or close the barrier. FEIG and Bircher models offer automatic calibration, high sensitivity, and reliable operation even after power loss.
